The Goddard Arms is a friendly hotel located right in the heart of Swindon’s Old Town, an area rich in history. The Goddard Arms is an old converted Coaching Inn where horse-drawn coaches used to change horses en-route to their next destination.

We are also right next door to the beautiful 50 acre Lawns Park which was once the estate of the Goddard family and where the name of our hotel comes from.

There are easy links to the M4 and M5 plus the hotel is just a 15 minute walk from the closest bus station and 30 minutes from Swindon train station.

We have 17 rooms which all come equipped with a hairdryer, TV, shampoo and tea/coffee making facilities. Most of our rooms have a desk for those that need to do a bit of work (Wi-Fi access included) and a bath so you can relax at the end of a long day. Rooms do vary slightly, so be sure to give us a call on 01793 619090 for confirmation.

Breakfast is included in most of our room rates and we offer free parking to guests staying at the hotel or visiting the pub. Please validate your parking on check-in or request a free parking voucher from the bar. Keep in mind that we are limited on parking spaces, so be sure to arrive promptly if you wish to park onsite.

We are passionate about great British food, our rich heritage of cask ales and newer craft beers, our extensive gin selection and our wine range. From a quick lunch or snacks with a drink after work, to a sit down dinner or a party with canapés and Prosecco – we can cater for you. Well behaved dogs are also welcome in our beer garden.
